新約的心臟書加拉太書，以弗所書，腓立比書和歌羅西書，陳明了經歷基督的三個祕訣：話、那靈和信。當我們鮮活的接觸並接受神的話，我們就得著那靈的供應；那靈在我們裏面成為活的信，這信就將基督實化，使我們實際的享受並經歷祂。我們這樣經歷元首基督，完全是為著身體召會的益處，使身體能得著建造。

本書前七章係李常受弟兄於一九八四年十月在日本東京特會所釋放的信息，後四章是一九八一年十一月在美國加州安那翰特會所釋放的信息。這些信息都論到經歷基督的祕訣。
