神是萬有的起源，遠在世界被造以前，神就開始了一個永遠的經綸，聖經稱之為神的經綸。在神這經綸裡有兩個奧祕：一是神的奧祕，就是基督；一是基督的奧祕，就是召會。

本書據此，從神經綸的眼光，闡明神如何在祂的三一裡，藉著經過種種的過程，成為賜生命的靈，進入人的靈裡，與人調和；使人有分祂的生命、性情，同被建造，成為基督生機的身體，作神的具體化身和擴大，以彰顯神。這就是神的經綸，藉著三一神的分賜、管家的職分、以及神的行政，來完成祂的奧祕！

本書係李常受弟兄，於一九七七年四月十九至二十一日，在美國麻薩諸塞州波士頓特會中，所釋放的信息集成。
